There are a variety of reasons to pick-your-own (PYO) produce! It’s a fun way to bond with your family and help your children understand that their food comes from farms. Can you think of a better way to spend a day than picking succulent strawberries or tender collard greens in a beautiful field of sunshine under deep blue skies?
When you pick your own produce, you know it’s fresh and full of optimum taste and nutrients. Plus, you are getting exercise and plenty of vitamin D, to boot!
Often you can get a larger quantity of fresh produce at a better price by picking it yourself. It varies from product, season and region, but in general, PYO prices are 50% to 20% less than what you find in the chain grocery stores.
So come on out to one of our PYO operations, and share in the bounty of Prince George’s County!

Miller Farms is a 267 acre farm that has been family owned and operated by six generations of farmers since 1840. The farm originally grew tobacco up until the mid-1970’s, where it then became a small pick your own farm. We are now Prince George’s County’s largest vegetable producer and a widely known farm market and wholesale operation. We grow a wide array of fresh fruits and vegetables. We also have free range chickens that produce beautiful brown eggs. Miller Farm takes pride in the crops we grow and providing our customers with beautiful, nutritious, and delicious produce.
