The Grand Opening Day Celebration for Robin Hill Farm and Vineyards was held Saturday October 7th, 2017. The event commenced with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the porch of the historic tobacco barn’s newly renovated tasting room, located at the farm at 15800 Croom Road, Brandywine, MD.
Noteworthy toasts by family spokesperson and farm owner, Susan Watson White, included a special salute to Russell Watson, the patriarch of the family who has inspired this generation of Robin Hill family and friends to keep the farm alive, successful, and enjoyed by others.
Special guests included, George Grillon, President of the Maryland Grape Growers Association and Kevin Atticks, Executive Director of the Maryland Wineries Association, who both took a few moments to congratulate the family, and to expound on the growth of the Maryland wine and grape industry.
After the ribbon cutting by the family matriarch, Shirley Watson, the tasting room was officially opened! Family, friends, and guests enjoyed the day filled with wine tastings, live music, food trucks, and beautiful weather. The farm view was also enjoyed by many visitors from either the spacious wraparound porch, or through the many windows of the barn wood clad tasting room.
